The May River High School Boys Varsity cross country team was only edged out of a first place win by 4 points – losing to 5A powerhouse Spartanburg High School. Owen Andrews led the team with a PR of 15:47, followed by Colin Keck with 16:46. Sean Hamby and Mills Campbell crossed the line nearly shoulder to shoulder at 17:08 and 17:09, a new PR for Hamby. Tristan Kaplan rounded out the top 5 with a time of 17:15. The top seven finished under 17:40 with John Rosenblum running a PR of 17:35 and DJ Robinson pulling down a 17:39.
The MRHS Boys JV team dominated their race with Mitchell Leroux coming in 2nd with a PR of 18:29. May River then took third, Cohen MacDonald(PR 18:35), fourth, Damaion Polite(18:45) and six place, Matthew Tisdell(PR18:53) to seal the deal. Gustavo Medina ran a new PR of 19:21 for the 15th spot and the 11 point win over 2nd place James Island.
