The May River Girls Basketball team opened their season on Tuesday with a 46-40 victory over St. Vincent’s Academy. The Sharks coming off of their Lower State Championship appearance last season, left off where they began last year. The sharks lost alot of fire power off of that team and look to rebuild this season with a young roster. Freshman Morgan Scott led the young Sharks with 17 points, while Jordan Bigham added 11 points. May River will travel to Effingham High School this Friday for another cross border battle, tip off at 6pm.
